KVK has identified following thrust areas in the district after conducting PRA surveys of various villages and working there upon:

• To introduce income generating skills among the rural women and School dropout girls and Rural youth through Self Help Group, Farmers Club, Youth Club etc.

• Popularization of Soya & balance diet products in rural & urban area.

• Skills development & Vocational Training Programme for Rural Women's & School dropout girls.

• To introduce health related problem in children & women in rural & urban areas.

• Agriculture extension services for farm women's.

• Drudgery Reduction services for farm women.

• Fruit and vegetable preservation and value addition. Special food processing training programme for rural women & youths.

• Handicraft printing and dying courses for rural women.  

• Promoting income generation activities like Orchards, Vegetable farming, Ornamental gardens, Kitchen Garden, Nursery management & food processing, raw material packing, vegetable seed production.

• Preparation of Bio fuel from Agriculture /Domestic waste.
